A gorgeous 29 x 20 mm green Jade cabochon is bezel set in sterling silver. The pendant features a copper back plate which has a tree hand sawn into the back and is textured on the front. When light shines through the stone from either side, the tree is visible. This beautiful pendant comes on a black, 18 inch, faux leather cord with a 2 inch extender.
Nephrite is a form of jade which is composed of jade and actinolite. It is slightly softer than jadeite (the other form of jade), but tougher (more resistant to breaking) than jadeite because nephrite has a denser structure. It is considered a tough stone because of its lack of cleavage and dense composition.
