Bella Ornamenti has developed slowly over the last decade. What began as a hobby, turned into a handmade jewelry business. The business was born in 2014 after March of 2013 I was in a minor car accident that resulted in yet another neck injury. During the course of treatment for both the shoulder injury (from the month before) and the neck injury, I increasing felt more pain and fatigue. No treatment was working.
The shoulder leveled out pain wise, but the neck was continually getting worse. I was finally sent to an interventional pain doctor who ruled most things out through tests and scans. I was stuck with needles all over my neck and shoulder. Though degenerative disk disease, stenosis and a host of other issues were found, treatment wasn't helping. The doctor mentioned Fibromyalgia and sent me to a specialist. After about six months of worsening symptoms, I was diagnosed with fibro. I had been out of work an not on any medications. I was told I would not be able to return to work since I was left untreated for so long.
I turned to crafting for "therapy", which turned into jewelry making. I started simply with beading which turned into wire wrapping. Finally, I found my passion - creating with metal and gemstones. After almost a decade, my technique and skills have grown. I am learning every day and bring that knowledge into each piece I create.
