The copper base is 1 1/3 inches by 1 inch. I placed scrap sterling silver pieces (wire and sheet) onto the copper and heated them with a torch until the silver melted and fused to the copper. Because the silver scrap was of different sizes and shapes, the thickness of the silver varies from a slight covering to thick. Some of the copper is exposed on the bottom and has been textured. Patina was added to the pendant for contrast. Comes on an 18-inch faux leather cord with a 2-inch extender.
